Humble prediction: if you have an audience of business owners who each have a website, then most of them would love to hear exactly how they can get it to the top of Google. So, if you book me to speak, then you will get two semi-controversial truths.
If they're willing to do the graft, small businesses can dominate in Search Engine Optimisation and digital marketing. No agency needed. After all, they have the passion, they have the product knowledge, they have the industry contacts. All they need is the skills and the strategy.
...that I will actually tell them how to do it. In plain English, with real-world examples, I will show your audience how to dominate search engines and put their future growth in their own hands. No fudging, no holding out.
Okay, so I probably can't cover every last detail in one short talk or podcast appearance. But I can put an end to one SEO convention which has been annoying the hell out of me since I first started in digital marketing over a decade ago.
It's an open secret in the world of SEO that you never tell anyone your real tactics in plain English. After all, if you're an agency, you don't want your clients to know how to do it for themselves, and you don't want your rivals to steal your best ideas. Well, Growth Stream is not an agency and I believe in full transparency. If it worked for us, I'll tell you exactly what we did. If it flopped for us, I will share exactly what went wrong. Warts and all.
My specialism is small business growth. By that I mean companies turning over £50k to £50m. If you're bigger than that, I can give you the broad strokes but, in all honesty, I don't have experience with the kind of budgets you should be allocating to your SEO.
If my definition of 'small business' fits for you, then I can probably help you to grow online.
I am a big believer that knowledgeable people are the first to say "I don't know". If you ask me something which I don't have any real experience of, that's exactly what I will say. But, if we're talking about SEO or digital marketing, then I won't need to say it often.
I consider myself to be an expert authority on these topics:
I am also highly knowledgeable on these topics:
Prior to working in digital marketing, I worked as a lecturer at Warwick University. So I have always been good at flapping my jaw. And, in many ways, engaging with people and voicing new ideas in public has always been my first love.
After years of working in-house with a small handful of long-term clients, part of my motivation for starting Growth Stream was to connect with more business owners. I really feed off their passion and enthusiasm. That's why I want to talk to audiences like yours. It's my fuel.
If you'd like to know more about my track record, check out our backstory.
If your audience has a bias towards any of these topics, then I am very interested in speaking to them. These are the organisations I am most excited about connecting with.
If you'd like to talk more about my public speaking, please just get in touch.
